Many faces of a hero: Mia(1).

So, going on with the previous looks of some characters.

I think that I mentioned before, but the Mia character changed a lot since the first time I created, not only in appearance, but also her personality.

There isn't that much to say about the first version, neither as design nor as character. It's was just a mere starting point to me to mess around and see where to go. Only thing worth mention is that she wasn't intended as a Action Girl at the beginning. As a matter of fact, I wasn't really sure about what to do with her. But, hey! I gotta start somewhere…

Second version, it did reflected Mia's personality back when I started to write her. By then, I already knew that I didn't want her to be a mere damsel in distress and that she will have powers (but no hand-to-hand combat abilities), however, she started as a rather abrasive, cynical and, to be honest, little bit of a jerk…

I dropped that concept rather quickly, since she ended up being a "female Cyrus" that made the all dynamic with him very boring. I mean, what's the point of having 2 characters in the same team, acting the same? Besides, I ended up hating how some authors seem to think that the only way to write a strong female character implies turn her into a bitchy asshole…

At the end, I decided to make Mia an opposite to Cyrus. It was a kinda obvious solution, but I thought that it made the dynamic a lot more interesting. To be honest, I was heavily inspired by the Batman/Superman comics to do so, with both heroes having such opposite tactics, methods and views but managing to work as a team.

Third version, things like skin tone and facial features already are the definitive ones, but the hair and body shape still a work in progress.

At this point, Mia's personality was closer to the one that she has right now, maybe softer. Besides, still didn't have any fighting abilities.

Ooof, that's it for today… tomorrow I will post the rest of the early designs (barely half way here) and hopefully, Chapter 8 would begin on Monday.
