When I first began to make these strips, I wasn’t really “thinking globally”, as it were.
I was just making them to amuse myself and my friends.

This strip was basically just a warning to anyone outside of Bellingham that there were gonna be a lot of in-jokes.

Jesse and I were big into Eddie Izzard around this time.
If you’ve seen Dress To Kill, then you probably get the reference.
If not? well…
Also, can ya tell I was having fun, learning the ins and outs of Photoshop? Not that I ever got much better, but, these were the salad days.
