I cannot tell you how many times this has happened to me while I was living in Bellingham.

Seriously, there were a couple of times where these folks would weave their way around/through a CROWD of other caucasians (The very OBVIOUS bro-stoner-types, at that!) to make a beeline for ME, to ask where to find weed.

The thing is, in Bellingham back in those days, one could do just what Octavius did in this strip and successfully find it. (Not bad for a guy with no nose.)
Perhaps its because (in real life) I have larger nostrils than they do (he said, glossing over the obvious overarching belief in stereotypes that plagues Suburban White America to this day in this, the supposedly "Post-Racial" era.)

Still, it’s mighty annoying.
