Malicious Intent was originally the story of one Milo Mannheim, super-genius and self-styled supervillain-in-training.
This 2007/2008 comic was sort of an offshoot/reboot of Shrimp Fried Riot after it ended, and there were more than a few bitter feelings floating around about my life in Bellingham, Washington, and some of the art-nerds I hung out with.
I basically channelled those feelings into the misanthropic, somewhat nihilistic persona of Milo Mannheim (who, 10 years before this, had been my avatar in a previous comic I made, based on the love I had for a certain young lady in Missouri. But, that's neither here nor there, as "Milo and Abby" has been lost to history.)
So, with THIS Milo, along with an alternate avatar for my friend, Jesse, whom I called Zed for this comic, (I name that I would re-use for a different character later on… who would, EVEN LATER, become the "Zed" of 'Sick of Superheroes') I restarted Shrimp Fried Riot, and only later into it, say, about strip 6, I think, change the name to Malicious Intent.
In it, I threw Scorch, Milo's lackey (who was from yet another previous comic concept… See, hippies? I recycle! A LOT!) and a couple of other characters, and off it went!
This comic lasted 17 or 18 pages plus one that was never scanned, colored and lettered, but, it is another concept I am currently trying to revive in a slightly altered format, as, I am always chock fulla misanthropy and bile. Milo seemed to be a good outlet for it at the time.
Along with him in this pic are his aforementioned lackey, Scorch; his only other tolerable friend, Gemini Roman, a girl who unbeknownst to even her was descended from elves; and Milo's 2 A.I.s, Cortex (the one with eyes) Milo's oldest science project from 3rd grade who is obsolete and unhappy about it, and Digit, (the lips) a slicker, newer model.
