Unexplained Cartoon Tropes

Seriously, it is canon that Popeye The Sailor Man is Poopdeck Pappy's only begotten child, yet, he has 4 (or 3, or two, depending on the cartoon) little nephews.
Peepeye, Pipeye, Pupeye and, yes, POOPEYE.
(I know 'poop' didn't mean the same things in the 1930's that it means now, but still–!)
Now, I don't wanna be yet another dingus who tries to impress seedy, scandalous goings-on onto innocent kids cartoons, but, well, having a ‘Mini-me’ (muchless 4) hanging around when there's no genetic or familial explanation for them to exist is kinda sketchy. it smacks of "Cartoon Celeb is not allowed to acknowledge illegitimate children, lest the studio fire him!"
… but that's just me.
(I also have a few questions for Captain Caveman and the Pink Panther, who did have sons, yet no wives!)

That being said, Dennis, Daniel and Donald were created around the time of the original DuckTales and used in the comics I was making at the time in spiral notebooks. They were the half human (but all-human looking, of courser) children of Gonzales Del Penguin's twin brother, Boris and his human wife, Hilda.
I can't remember why, but, I'd given them superpowers. Dennis had super strength, Daniel had telekinesis and Donald had whatever that colorful kinetic energy bubble power that Speedball has because I was obsessed with the New Warriors when they first came out.
