Something many new (and sometimes old) gamers do is spend unreasonable amounts of time discussing things instead of getting into the story.

A long time ago I had an excellent DM who simply decided that after a short period, all the player discussion was taken as in-game character conversation. Once the players catch on to what is happening, this tends to speed things up AND make the game more engaging.

So I did the same thing to CW and his friends.
