I still haven't figured out how to make it possible to view 2-page spreads in full size (if it's possible at all). There's some text on these that might be hard to read so I'll just post it here for you instead:

"Neither of us expected what would happen next. I'd heard that spirits on occasion offer the bonded a gift. It's not always clear what they give. Ours was obvious though…a gift worse than death itself…"
