I hope this makes up for the lack of backgrounds on the last page. This is definitely a favorite and I've been anxious to get to this stage of the story. We're leaving the "big idea" behind the book and moving into a more detailed look at Tom's early years with the Shawnee. We will also see a bunch of glimpses of how he spent his years after leaving the tribe. It is this run of pages describing his adventures around the world which is the most heavily influenced by the Legends of the Fall film I believe i mentioned a while back. During the film the main character leaves home and wanders the earth and the movie just shows snippets of the various things he does. It was those hints that intiially inspired Sleepbringer and while the concept went in other directions in the end, I have EVERY intention of telling tons of stories from those years when Sleepbringer was part of a Pirate ship attacking AMerican and British sailing vessels, spent time in an American prison, was married to an African and lived on the beach with her, etc. Looking forward to it.
