Wanted to update last week, but was planning to do it in the weekend which turned out to be a small problem. Friday I had a massive headache, Saturday & Sunday I was just too busy! Spending time with friends and the celebration of my grandpa's 80th (!) birthday.

About this page: It's the beginning of a small story. It doens't have a very strong storyline, just a small concept (I like those kind of stories, I will even come back at it later on at this comment). I first had the idea that when I woke up I would have a pimple on my forehead which this 'thing' would grow out of. But for that I must've got inspired by FLCL with that whole horn growing out of Naota's head (been watching it again recently). Also that not-really-having-a-story concept is kind of Japanese too I believe. I mean, things like Spirited Away and Totoro had more a series of 'happenings' than a proper story. And that short movie 'Cat Soup' didn't even make sense (but it was damn good).
I'm not satisfied with the art at this page, because it looked better when sketching it. It especially looked bad before I chose to use grayscale to fill up some of the blank spaces, it looked boring and somewhat chaotic at the same time.

On saturday I got a totally new and awsome idea for a new comic story! And here you have it again: it's more a concept than that is has some sort of storyline ;) It's a Alice in Wonderland-kind of story featuring me. A fairytale/fantasy adventure that at the same time is a story about me and my personal emotions. I already did an Alice-tribute once, but this thing isn't some sort of tribute, it will be TOTALLY different. (there are so much directions to take!) I wanted to start a new comic series next month and I have several other projects I'm working on so I haven't got the time to actually draw it. I will try to write it all on a typewriter, but it DEFINATLY needs to have pictures with it. Maybe I'll work it all out after a while, or maybe I can ask someone here on DD if he's interested in drawing it :D But that's something for another time.

Oh! And I contributed a page on fern's comic project over here a few days ago. It's really worth checking out, not for my page, but for the project in overall. Interesting stuff people!
