Jess and Spiderman go together like….two things that go together. Or two things you force together and end up staying together like two melted plastic action figures. Needless to say, Jess loves him some Spiderman. This strip was made at a time where I think Jess was girlfriendless, not that it really matters. There is enough room in his heart for everyone.

The idea of MJ was going to carry over, but the strip with her in it wasn't scrapped so much as we couldn't get it to work and be 100% happy. Maybe she'll return, maybe not. I'm a big fan of showing unstable minds, which is why Jess would be "haunted" by an invisible girlfriend. Or maybe she's real and this is foreshadowing. Maybe I'm not real. Or maybe I'm rambling. GUH?
