Well, DrunkDunk stuffed me over again. I typed a whole heap of stuff then it decided I never really submitted it, so do I want to type it all out again? Not really.

Anyways, for all those who are just getting in to the Steampunk subculture I will attept to occassionally educate you with bits and pieces that I find.

Today I will talk about movies. The only two movies I can think of that directly fall into the Steampunk category would be 'Wild Wild West' and 'Steamboy'. 'Wild Wild West' has Will Smith and Kevin Kline trying to stop a meglomaniac from taking over the old west using a giant steam powered… well, go see it - it is fun and the steampunk is beautiful, although the plot is crap. Steamboy is an anime about a boy who comes from a long line of inventors and gets embroiled in politics because of his warring family.

Other movies with a hint of steampunk in them are "Edward Scissorhands" (the bit where Edward is created), "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" and the animated short movie "The Amazing Screw-on Head" - all worth checking out.

If anyone has any other additions to this list I would love to hear them.

Toodle Pip and all that!
