So we've gone from an unchanging background to one that 'changes' by getting lighter from panel to panel. I guess it's progress.

A bit of backstory here. Obviously, the "Weapons" concept was made popular by Final Fantasy. Emerald/Ruby/Omega/Ultimate/"Atma" Weapon are about as well known as Kefka and Sephiroth.

It was near the end of DewQuest II: Code Red where they first took form for me, as four 'nubile' optional final bosses. Although there wasn't really much I could do with them using the Playstation RPG Maker engine, especially when I was running out of available space on the memory card. So they were just kinda … there.

In my "Project 2K5" RPG they took center stage as the main plot - but they also traipsed around in their birthday suits, which made for interesting scenes but drastically reduced the viewing audience I could subject to the game. :)

Now I've entered them into the world of Sprite Comic-dom. And while "saving the world from nubile weapons" is probably the hook I'm using to get the casual viewer to examine a panel or two, it'll be quite some time before Peridot Weapon and her sisters will wreak havoc on the world in this story.
