Author notes
I've always been a sucker for fighting tournaments. The whole bracketing concept and "what if person X fought person Y" has intrigued me enough over the years to do a 1,024 person tournament. The idea and the bracketing was better than the execution, as even with only three people determining the victors, most of the later rounds had people advancing solely from anti-votes. Guess that's why Shabranigdo (of Slayers fame) ended up victorious over Nakago (from Fushigi Yuugi) in the finals. … yeah, if I had the time now that I did even a few years ago, Sprite Life would either be that much better, or would have already hit its thousandth panel. Heh.
