Author notes
Another problem with any Sprite Comic is (unless you custom-draw your own sprites) they're doomed to either stay completely stuck in one 'game universe' or bit-mix all over the place. :) Had I known the Namco Cross Capcom sprites existed when I STARTED Nineteen Eternal, I probably would have tried to make the story from just them. They're an excellent substitute - combining characters from many worlds with a fairly elaborate number of "default poses." Some are better than others, though. My "Deirdre" spritesheet has precious few poses available to her, I haven't created any new ones, and it shows. Still, when it comes to Bit Mixing, I blame Capcom. People like Morrigan stick out like a sore thumb in any of the later -VS- fighting games, and Capcom just doesn't CARE. Eew.
