One thing that's always kinda puzzled me about this tale and others I've written is, "Who's really the main character?" Maybe if I spent a little more time on 'character development' I'd have an answer to that.

I certainly don't give myself any special treatment, or Garnet wouldn't have stepped on the Rock/Mega/Yip buster. (I'm still not exactly sure how that happened - it kind of wrote itself. It wasn't like she was going to hand it BACK to me after forcefully removing it.)


The Bison side-story is sort of a break for my brain. In the past, I've written tales where the heroes get so much crap dumped on them that they suffer what I call "sixth season Buffy" syndrome. Their lives get so messed up that nothing short of 'magical healing' would keep them from wanting to destroy the world to make it a better place.

And if at all possible, I want to keep this story fun and light-hearted. So this visit with Bison might be a little … different than you'd expect.
