It's never been adequately explored as to whether the summons in the Final Fantasy games ARE the various gods and demons. One would assume not, since some of them don't look anything freakin' like the gods in question. But I digress.

Seriously though, do some research. The next time you play an RPG, keep an eye out for some of those names. Stuff like Ifrit, Yggdrasil, Einherjar, Odin, and so on are straight outta mythology. It's just wild.
