#137 - To Say Nothing of the Lion Ring

This is a comical exaggeration, guys. I don't get this worked up about videogames, for butts sake.

I wrote this strip twice, actually. The first version had Selphie in place of Yuffie, 2 more panels, and a helluva lot more ranting. In the interest of pleasing my fans (that's you), I (that's me) shall post the transcript here.

p1 - Squall walking into frame (at the bar) where Selphie is standing around
Squall: …Selphie. I need your help.
Selph: Sure! What's up, Squall?

p2 -
Squall: …
Selph: Squaaaaall…you have to tell me, or I can't help!
Squall: …Alright. This guy has been following me around all day and I can't seem to shake him off.

p3 -
Selph: Guy? What guy?
Squall: I think he's the owner of this place.

p4 - I move into frame
Aar: You freakin' idiot! You chose RINOA? Quistis is a hot schoolteacher with a WHIP, and you go for miss 'tee-hee, I love everyone!'? What the hell is wrong with you, boy?

p5 - panel moving over to focus on Squall and Selphie again
Selphie: Ahh. I see.
Squall: Think you can get rid of him?
Me (offscreen, mostly. Smaller text) And that's not even to mention your ridiculous amounts of angst! You're MY AGE, for Tenaris' sake! EIGHTEEN! Eighteen is not old enough to be acting like that, you emo freak!

p6 - Selphie skips past Aaron (to the left), who promptly shuts up.
Selphie: Tra la laaa…cute girl bouncing past…
Aaron: *zoink!*

p7 - Aaron zooms away in a puff of smoke after Selphie, who is already almost
completely off-panel.
Aaron: FSHOOM!
Aaron: Yuffie! Take over!
Squall: …'Yuffie, take over?'

p8 - Yuffie appears on the right side of Squall
Yuffie: And where the hell did you get a ring with a lion on it, anyway? Lions don't even EXIST in your world! And that's another thing! What's the deal with there only being SEVEN towns on the entire planet? That's not nearly enough!
Squall: *sigh*
