Autumn 3: A Year.

I decided to put SQUARE on this site because I love comix and have always wanted to tell stories with them. As far as the new look, I create these in Photoshop, which I am fairly skilled with. The leaves (cover) were taken from pictures of real and clipart leaves that were distorted and then merged into a single layer. Other shapes are created using the pen tool (which I am just now teaching myself) or built-in shapes. I don't use the masking tools, but essentially do the same thing with layers because I've never had any PS training and that's… how I do it.

I aim to create well-formed stories and, above all, characters that feel genuinely alive. In some ways, my style is very limiting in that regard, but I hope that it also gives me a degree of freedom.

I promise that my author notes will be more brief in the future. I just felt that this comic may need more… explanation than most others.
