Guess Who's Back
Roar Comics onLooks like Brahma's not down for the count just yet.
This-here is the fun part about Brahma's powerset. Sure, she's superstrong and Amazonian. Sure, she's pretty damned tough.
However, unlike a lot of superstrong superheroes, she isn't invulnerable. She does, however, have a regeneration factor.
If you've read her Character Synopsis, you saw that coming.
She can heal the smaller injuries in the usual way, just a bit faster than normal. Your fractures, cuts and small lacerations go away almost instantly. Larger ones that aren't super-bad? Broken bones, smallish but deep wounds, in about an hour or 2.
Her most potent power, however is REGENERATION, and, whenever she gets damaged enough, her powers don't just regenerate damaged areas of the body, they build her a brand-spankin'-new one! Always 6'8", always buff and always with the same mystical tattoos, just with different looks. (Still hurts like hell, though.)
Don't worry, she's not Wolverine or Deadpool. She CAN die.
When I created her, lo, those many years ago, I wanted to give her a healing factor, instead of invulnerability.
(I never understood why invulnerability went hand-in-hand with superstrength in comics. More muscle doesn't suddenly make you impervious to pain and harm.) Anyway, I was going through my "I hate Wolverine" phase at the time and decided to be different. Instead of healing, I gave her regeneration. (Which, let's face it, Wolverine had ANYWAY! "Healing" means scarring and such, NOT regrowth of damaged tissues completely!) Then, later - DEADPOOL. I was rather nonplussed at that. So, I modified her to, instead of just closing wounds and regrowing limbs, she would (if hurt really bad) just regrow a whole new bod.
The different look thing came about while a friend and I were discussing shapeshifters like Mystique and why one would have a "true form". I decided that yes, a base form on a metamorph was a dumb, outdated and "toyetic" idea, so, I made it so that if I ever got famous enough to have my characters actually made into toys (I was a dreamer) that Brahma wouldn't have a 'base form', but, one could still use the same mold for her plastic toy but a simple repaint would make her into a 'different' toy.
So, this is where I am currently stopped with The StarBrats, but, I am going to try to wrap this story up by The New Year, and move on to other things.
