Commentary:
You start to really see where I was going stylistically with this page and into a style we'll see more in Chapter 7, but not so much at first. But it's a lot darker and I think it's a lot more fitting to the story.

Shades regains his power - or so it seems. What looks to be the same plasma-like power over light may have other intentions. Something's off about this whole thing for Shades. Like he's been here before…

Some people are really curious about what's going on here. Here's some insight:
If you read the pages up to this altogether it makes more sense. Remember as Juno continues to crack that scar open and bleeds, she's bleeding herself to death. Shades can see the wound is not closing and tries to use his powers to stop her when he realizes he doesn't have the power he says, "nothing…" Commence the epic running sequence at the end of which Shades says, "I will not be left with nothing!"

Ultimately, it's Shades showing his undying love for her in an all too epic way.
