There's nothing better than coming home from a week away… after driving 15 hours in a car with a cat… to find that your heater caught on fire while you were gone.

I think my third fire finally found me here folks. We are very lucky the damn house didn't burn down. The fire was contained to the unit but needless to say, a charred heating unit makes for a cold house.

It's unexpected things like this that I can't prepare for. Unexpected financial surprises like this that make being a comic artist for free… well, worrisome. If you can find it in your heart to help us, I'd appreciate it. If you can't, I understand. The last thing I want is someone going into debt on account of my irritable heater. If you have the spare change, anything helps.

May this be just a fluke of bad luck to start 2008 - it's been so nice lately. I was really starting to get comfortable with my neutral karma
