Volume 2 - Chapter 7 - Page 177

I like this page. I almost like it more without the text because it simply explains so much about their characters and their history. I like the motion here and the energy. I don't like the possibility of this page being taken as cliche or not as seriously as it should because Juno has recently tried to commit suicide. What with the ideas of "emo" and that jazz running around nowadays what I wrote years ago may not be as poignant as it used to be. Which is irritating. Cutting and suicide is a serious, SERIOUS epidemic among young people and their peers now aren't taking it seriously? It's a fad? That's just asinine. Sure cutting yourself up may be asinine to some people too but it's still a problem. But nonetheless, I'm sure this page will generate more hatemail/slander for me to which I say, move on. This is how it rolls in the story. Don't dig it? Then you're just noise man. Move on.

We're still a few years prior to where SCD started in Chapter 1. Juno has just blown up LaBauve's shiny circuit car prototype and nixed a major drug deal with mafia and the other major syndicate. From here on things start to get worse as she gets more involved in the black market with Shades, meets Sam and gets involved in her mixed up life at the time, and starts to slowly push Pike away. We start to really see what made them the way they first appeared way back in Chapter 1. This scene is relatively short. But I think it's crucial. There are several flashbacks throughout SCD. Because after all, this is a story all about revenge. And in order to have revenge, you have to have a past. Or a lack there of. Juno just happens to have both. She just doesn't realize it.

There should be dirt and blood on her face but since I'm updating from the laptop I haven't had time to add it. So it'll come in later - maybe Thursday. I figured you guys wouldn't miss a little bit of bruise and blood.
