I feel impelled to point out the kanji inthe first pannel says 'Fish'
Not the most emotionaly stable woman on the block, is she? Damn it, you're fictional! Be happy! but she cheers up for Cat.
I think it's important to point out she has no idea the cat has any idea what she's saying, she just talks to animals like that.
For my own amusement: One of the crates says 'Fruits Basket'
