Long titles r winn. So this is, for those of you who don't play dice with your immortal essence, a(nother) WoW comic. It's referencing a specific thing in the patches, that thing being AFKaving, and the measure taken to prevent it. I'm not sure if you're aware of that either? AFK means "Away From Keyboard", and "-ave" is a reference to where the act takes place, that is, in a cave in Alterac Valley, a battleground in WoW.
Unscrupulous.. Unscrewpullous… players would do this to gain honour without putting in any effort. Essentially, they sat around in the well-defended cave, making their characters jump occasionally to gain honour, which is earned at the completion of the match. The defeat of the opposing team is the ultimate goal, but this is pretty much impossible when a large percentage of your team of 40 is sitting around, not contributing in anyway. And I do mean a LARGE pecentage; there, and you can see my hope when I use the past tense here, "Were" as a rule around 10-15 people AFKaving in a standard match.
This new feature has been eagerly anticipated among PvPers (Player vs Players), so I sort of, celebration, happened when the patch was released. Oh, lord, did we celebrate. Keep in mind, if you think this AFKaving business is stupid, it only works because you get points regardless of whether you win or lose, you simply gain MORE for winning.
Ah, well. Even if it doesn't work quite as well as we hope, it's still a good preventative measure.

This is the second post for today, to make up for the skipping of yesterday: if you flick back one, you will see that update.
