Actually lots of the masked "Covid Walks" for our friend group wound up being walks where only Therese and I showed up, because everyone bailed. Not this walk, though! Belle came along.

Therese was really happy that our pre-lockdown friend group was starting to come back together, and she was zipping around in the woods of Putnam Park on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus, joyously naming the various spring plants she spotted.

Then she found an abandoned set of keys, and she knew what to do. Or… eventually figured out what to do.

Oh and I made a dad joke. You'll read more of those throughout the series. Therese loves my dad jokes, don't let her reactions fool ya!
