This is the last significant character that needs introduction. Designing a bade is not as easy as it seems. :P Obviously, when I wrote the earliest draft of this story, there was no Department of Homeland Security, but upon revision, I realized it was the most suitable place for F.A.R.C.E.

I can't recall where in the story I define the acronym. I don't think it's anytime soon. I did come up with that as a teenager and was pretty frikkin pleased with myself for it. XD (In case we don't get around to that right away, it is the Federal Agency for the Regulation of Cryptozoological Entities.)
