A significant encounter. I honestly wasn't sure how Grant would react until I wrote it. I notice that when I'm writing, eventually I come to that point when my characters are fleshed out enough to have a natural reaction to things that require so little thought that they seem to write the story themselves. (Interestingly, Martina hit that spot right out of the gate. She's very much a self-driving character.)
I'm still getting a feel for Tucker and Sean. Becky and Connie are pretty solid now. The fed Lydia… I'm not so sure. I think she's better developed than I realize. But she's an entirely different character than the Lydia I originally created as a teenager. (I rewrote her part entirely after my second decade-long hiatus – after I had experience working for a government agency.)
