Willow is quite beat up. If this wasn't taking place during the masquerade, I'd post a 'pin up' of how beat up she is, which is my bruise chart.
Okay, about Detective Maria Ornez- she has actually been in the work for a while. Originally, she was native American, but I think Hispanic works.
She's part of the Officers of Avalon (http://www.officersofavalon.com/), a most worthy organization, and as she says, generally gets tapped to deal with the institute, because of it. For those of you who care, she's a practicer of Santeria (Which will probably never come up, as we'll only see her in her policewoman's hat)
