Admit it: you missed the lizardman.

I fell in love with lizardmen many years ago when I accidentally found a box of lizardmen skinks and read the description on the back. Yes, it was one of those Ed5-boxes with fluff on them. I read: "They are the most agile of the Lizardmen and shoot grat volleys of poisoned arrows and javelins into the ranks of their enemies." And this sentence inspired me! I imagined shooing, scurrying lizardmen jumping from tree to tree in a dark and steamy jungle, their crests flashing through the impermeable green, twittering and HUNTING! Silent, deadly hunters they were, cribbing large jungle beasts with their poisoned arrows and run down their fleeing human slaves…
Such a powerfull image, and although lizardmen became much, much more in my imaginatiuon since then, wise mages and a highly sophisticated civilization, it is this primordial vision that stokes up my imagination to this very day. Ah, I love lizardmen…
