I just looked at some things around the house and thought they should be in a comic. I wanted to mix styles within a comic, so enjoy the mixed media. I hope to have something pastelled or animated for next time. But for now, enjoy the almost subtle nuances contained within the conversations between household objects/appliances.
I watched the Sci-Fi channel at 4 in the morning the other day due to insomnia, and though you may not know it, during the pre-dawn hours, the Sci-Fi channel becomes a vortex of sci-fi cliches. In one single movie or miniseries or whatever the hell it was, I witnessed:
- Exaggerated kung-fu scenes, like cheesy Chinese imports. - Human/animal transformations and the accompanying powers. - Super heroes and super villains running around with masks, capes, and all. - World-destroying bombs utilizing some whacked out technology and is triggered in a bizzare manner. - Aliens and/or monsters communicating with - Ghosts. I don't know how aliens/monsters and ghosts get along, but it seemed pretty dramatic. And silly. - Cyborgs. There was some feller with a crazy bionic suit. I don't know all the technical details of it, and I don't think the people who made the show did either. - A stampede of elephants. This doesn't appear to be a sci-fi cliche, but it seems to fit in with the rest of the over-the-top things listed so far. - Lots of syringes being injected around computers in dark rooms in high-pressure situations. - Probably the worst one-liners evah. Bruce Campbell would be ashamed.
I'm still drawn towards the Sci-Fi channel late at night, but I fight the urges, lest my brain hangs itself in the copious amounts of space within my cranium.
I've said my say. Sorry about the wait. I'm working on…things. But, while you're here, take your shoes off and stay a while. I've got an archive that's pretty good at the beginning but peters off at the end. Also, I added another page to what will most likely become my take on a college comic. So, until I see you again, enjoy!
