Mars' Perspective 1- Accent

one of the cutest things about tee was her accent
she tried hard to hide it, she hated it
but sometimes i’d hear her in another room, getting frustrated with something
and she’d go
“dang thing, don’t know how ta coop’rate, i swear t’ god”
then she’d catch me in the doorway smiling and she’d shut up and turn red
“my sweet cotton-candy southerner” i’d say softly
and she softens too
“my thoughtful starshine girl” she says back to me
“taffeta”
“bree”
and then we’re laying on the couch and she’s kissing my cheek real gentle and it’s making me giggle
