Chapter 6 - Mario remembers something.

What do you think Mario remembers from looking at what happened in the battle?
Mario wasn't able to jump on the rhino, the rhino shoots fireballs out of it's mouth, and a hammer appeared behind the enemy.
Those three things remind mario something, but what?
