Originally published January 16, 2005. Based on a real-life experience. The line is long and slow because everyone in it has purchased enough food to last a family of four at least a week if not more. Most people realize this, but the larger the group of people, the greater the chance you will encounter a selfish moron. Retail and service industries deal with a great number of people, which means you are guaranteed an encounter with a selfish moron at least once a week (if you're in a good area).
