The gap in dates is because I've skipped the Christmas and New Year's strips, as they don't match up chronologically.

Saskatoon is a major city in Saskatchewan, a Canadian prairie province. Not what you would call "Near major bodies of water". If he were American, it could be worse - -they could have put him in Arizona.
