This is where Kim's plan took an unexpected turn; she was originally counting on Freddie to eventually do something stupid, and given Molly's reputation for being quite the scrapper she assumed Freddie would get the snot beat out of him. She didn't think he was capable of attempted murder (Molly got it in the arm 'cause she turned) and that when she took more drastic measures. (Kim is an accomplished martial artist, just like Alison and Molly)

Molly – as far as she knows – has never been seriously assaulted by someone who really wanted to hurt her. So the fact that she is bleeding is very frightening to her.
