Introducing Armageddon

Armageddon is yet another originally one-shot characters who had too much potential to let go. I had no idea a combined parody of several lame super-villains into one would work so well. He's mostly a parody of Apocalypse, who I consider to look like a gay, robot gorilla. (Apparently Marvel re-did him as a gay, robot gangster gorilla).

With few exceptions, usually the favourite villain of a franchise is the lamest, least interesting, most poorly written… and sometimes fruitiest looking character. Looking fruity isn't a problem unless the character's supposed to be an ultimate bad-ass. What boggles my mind is that often the franchise's creative team seems oblivious of this fact, and continues to labour under the delusion that their villain is cool.

My disdain for characters like Marvel's Apocalypse & Dr. Doom, DC's Darkseid or Lex Luthor (recognize his pink armour from the 80's anyone?), Blizzard's Arthas/Lich King or ANY of Capcom's villains all poured into Armageddon.

The result? He's so cool, he's liquid awesome. ;)
