Had a bit of a belated brainwave on beaks late last week: I'd been drawing them most of the time like they hinged where the base of the beak meets the skull—but of course, they hinge much farther back, toward the rear of the skull, since the lower beak is a projection of the jawbone. Silly me. Gotta remember that and hinge them correctly. : )
