The somewhat stiff, excessively over-engineered and expensive HDMI cable I ordered is working so far to prevent this silly laptop's video-out from cutting off its WiFi signal, so I can actually post the webcomic and stuff. : ) The old Sony cable I'd dug up was working *mostly* as well, with just one temporary outage; I guess the real test of the new cable will be the next heat wave, which hopefully won't be for uhh a good nine months or so!
