Some colloquialisms just shouldn't exist in a created world. One of my favorites is "okay" It first appeared in the early 19th Century in the US probably appearing first in NY state. It didn't become common until the time of the American Civil War and didn't go overseas until 1917 and didn't become international until World War II spread by GIs along with Hershey Bars and Coca Cola. So somebody in Renaissance England would not be using it, let alone a proto-Norseman in the fantastic islands of Narthatheia.
And no, there really wasn't a universal colloquial affirmative before there was "okay" So Ragnar has no idea what it is. Here we also find a little about Searsha's past. Searsha is in her mid twenties so she is young to Ragnar. Ragnar is being modest when he says he is forty. He's really closer to fifty. The thing is, he doesn't really know how old he is. He was very young at the time and only his mother would probably know when he was born.

Featured!!! The original version of this was featured back in 2008 and after some consideration and six other comics in between I decided to revisit it. Looking back it was so crude as there was still so much to learn. So 1000 pages of comics later I revisited it. And wouldn't you know after all that time it's the first of my comics to get featured again? Really should have been Interstellar Blood Beasts now that was a good comic.
A Caveat, Game of Thrones had no influence on this because it was all put together starting back in 2003. If it had been I probably would have worked in a drunken dwarf and some dragons. But there's none of that.
