Loffya had hinted about this when she last appeared on Book One,page 70. For all the pain, Arnora is a survivor. Though the last panel is kind of ambiguous about this time. I should point out that Arnora is going through now many of things Searsha endured once upon a time.

The panels on this page and the last were desaturated to give the flashback a washed out look. Did anyone pick up on it? The sequences are supposedly flashing through Searsha's mind and she's broadcasting them to the others in her group. This is what used to be called psychometry. Sorceresses can pretty much do all the things that psychics claim they can do though speaking to the dead requires the remains.

The last panel is back to regular color to show that it is the present.

Next year this comic is going to make a concerted effort to get a nomination in best drama too. It's more than just a fantasy, it's supposed to be about people and what they go through in the day to day. Drama. It may be a somewhat fantastical world but it's day to day events in a pre-modern world. As I said elsewhere if I had total freedom to re-do this, I would have set it in some historical period (I was leaning toward Mesopotamia, the Caliphate or China) But instead it's this mish-mosh of a pseudo-European medieval period with a more cosmopolitan mix of cultures.
