Syrii
Author notes
~07~
DJKID onThis is little Syrii, and she's floating endlessly down a wide river. She floats without emotion, without loneliness, and without any idea of where she's going. Although she doesn't know how long she's been in the river, she knows it's unchanging.
One day, Syrii drifted near land where she met a curious figure. An elegantly, yet darkly clad demon dwelled near the shore with a heart full of grief. Upon spotting the small, floating child, the demon reached forth and plucked her from the river. Syrii explained she was but a child, and the demon revealed itself to be the Woeful Maiden of Marriage.
Aycee ~ The Damned Maiden of Marriage
Once upon a time, when Aycee was at a younger and healthier age, it fell madly in love with a young man. The two had several happy moments, and before long they found themselves sharing feelings for one another. For as long as Aycee could remember, the words "I love you" were never bestowed upon it; so even though it had a heart, it was incomplete. Oh, how the fragile child yearned to hear these words uttered from its true love's lips! But before the young man could be wed to Aycee and truly make it happy, he met an untimely demise thanks to a speeding bus. Aycee was unfortunate enough to bear witness to the event, and so became quite traumatized. Later on, several of Aycee's friends began finding happiness in marriage, something Aycee was denied and now felt it could never obtain. A deep hatred for the connection of love, and particularly marriage, between two people lead Aycee to become the demon it is today. Every time someone is wed, Aycee lurks in the shadows, dressed in funeral attire, and oversees the marriage. When the time for objections comes, it spews assorted curses conjured by the Devil and falls into a deep, almost morbid silence. Although Aycee's curses do not always work right away, or sometimes not at all, they are known to come true. Even though Aycee is referred to as a "maiden", it bears no true gender, it takes whatever form suits its fancy.
