I'm still not quite sure about all this toning business, but I tried it out anyway. Tell me what you think of it. And remember, constructive criticism is good stuff.
This page was easy to draw and make, which is part of the reason I put the tones in. Copying and pasting are my friends. Blurring stuff is fun too. Basically this was one of those pages you work on more on the computer than at your desk. It's probably obvious, but the writing does in fact say something. I invented it myself. I wish I could tell you more about it, but then it'd be easier for you to figure out. Them's the breaks of secrets.
Comparing panels four and five, I've noticed that I've improved drawing even since starting this comic. Well, I knew that already (it's hard not to when you're wincing at the age-old drawings in your sketchbook), but now the style of the Dragons is more defined and such. I don't know exactly what I'm saying, other than that yes, there is a difference, and a good one at that.
It felt good to take a break from drawing those Dragons every panel. It's probably really not good that I'm complaining and I'm not even 20 pages in… but when the other characters come in I'll probably be a bit quieter about it. Maybe…
