I took the liberty of giving Leanael a splash page. Several reasons, really. Firstly I'm trying to put fewer panels into each of my pages. Secondly both Xeari and Vark have gotten splash page covers, and Leanael isn't getting one (not for the next seventeen chapters that I've written, anyway). Thirdly I just felt like it.
The drawing was supposed to be a straight-on view, but I'm more comfortable drawing three-quarter view and it just sorta went that way. I did the pencil sketch on my usual Bristol paper, then decided to ink on Photoshop. The picture was, however, a LOT bigger than I'm used to doing, so inking was actually really hard. I think the drawing could have been better if it hadn't been so hard to do. Have I ever mentioned how very much I completely and totally despise drawing feet? And there's something kinda off about her eyes. And her hand. Other than that I don't have many complaints. Having a little extra time, I managed to colour this. I've had some practice with colouring since page 50, but I'm still working on it. Anyway, it's in colour because it was simple.
Zomg. Chapter three is over. Yesssss! Things really start happening in chapter four. It's not that they weren't before, but explanations ensue in chapter four and things pick up at chapter five. I've been working on thumbnails for the past three days and I've got a bunch done, and will be doing more while in Chicago for the next five days. I need them. — Starting now I'm putting comment responses here so I know you got them. Unless you don't read the author's notes - then that's your problem. Nyte_Viper: Heh, adorable isn't the kind of word I'd apply to Ciaran, but if it floats your boat =3 Anyway, thanks.
