Jenn and Vera went on vacation together. At the end of Battle of… Jenn said she was going on leave.  Tales of SIG is intended as a follow-up on some characters from the comic Battle of the Robofemoids. That comic introduced the Aordians and SIG. While Battle of… was in production I decided to give some of the characters their own comic.  And the concept of some Grey Guys wrecking havoc in Star Trek just seemed perfect. 


The doctor referenced was the ship's surgeon on Vera's pirate ship who joined with the Grey Guys to create the robohomoid. He and Vera became romantically involved but as we see it didn't work out. Jenn got Vera on the rebound.
