SteveMyers22 on* EDITOR'S NOTE: LEE-BOT 1 is short for Little Evil Eintstein Robot Version 1.0. Barn Bad-Guy is a master of robotics and when he's not planning villainy, he runs one of the most powerful tech solutions companies in the tri-state area near Suburbs. You'll find out very soon that his "beef" with Superchum has a lot to do with robots. And the LEE-BOT design is one of the Baron's most oft-used bots.
Wow! I finally got to do one of them asterisk thingies in my comic. I feel so 80s Marvel now. Anyways, this comic was a ton of fun to create. You get to see a smattering of the various villains and organizations that have been part of the Superchum comic for quite some time. And a new villain (Doc Devious is making his first published appearance here, even though the character and design have been floating around in my sketchbook since 2000).
The Malevolent Muses were utilized in a year-long story from my senior year in college. Canon is based on a former co-worker of mine who always wanted to be in my comic. He has a slightly new color scheme here though. Mr. Mean is my old Pre-Calc teacher. I have a group of "geriatric" criminals, the Not-Nice-People who are some of Superchum's oldest villains. And they're all based on teachers in High School and Middle School who used to be, well, not-nice people!
Some other good news … I doubled up on my workload this week (which is why the comic is about 4 hours late today). I did this to clear some time and space in my schedule next week to get ready for the Baltimore Comic Con (Reminder … I'll be there selling preview copies of the Superchum origin comic, so stop by and grab one if you attend). And the double workload paid off. I should have next week's installment fully colored by tomorrow. So you diehard readers who I totally appreciate for sticking with me and with this comic, won't miss a single installment during the convention weekend!
