Clearly I skimped on the backgrounds for this page. I kept telling myself that it would have just taken away from the action but I think I should have done some blurred out/light grey backgrounds. It was interesting to lay out this page, trying to fit in the action, the characters, and different angles into the panels. The last panel was a bit of a let down though. My initial goal was to do a much more dynamic angle but after failing to get it to work I went with a slightly boring one.

jerrie – Yeah, I didn't advertise too much. I posted a page on Divine Leap a while back to try and let people know but that was about it. Glad you found your way here though and hope you enjoy it.

shastab24 – I went in to this story thinking the mummies would be a bit of a pain and they have been. The wrapping and shadows together have taken a bit of time but I'm starting to get a feel for it. So appreciate that the work is being noticed. :)

Locoma – The mummies haven't seemed to be too much of a problem for me, it's mostly texturing background stuff that gets me. Stuff like pavement, bricks, concrete, cloth, etc. I think if I was going to push to become an artist I'd have to spend a lot of time practicing some real life stuff.
