50. Happy 50th Strip!

As you've read above, this strip marks the 50th installment of The Capital of Helsinki. Although there's no continuity between strips, I felt the urge to mark this occasion in some way.

And yes, the existence of this comic strip is a very direct result of The Perry Bible Fellowship. I know that it's hardly the first gag comic of its kind, but I do think that it's the best gag comic out there. After reading it, it made me wonder if I could manage to continuously put out a three panel gag cartoon in the same manner.

I'm not sure if I've been consistent, but I've still managed to do this at least fifty times.

When I drafted this strip I had no idea what the other figure hovering over my drafting table was going to be. "Constable Donut" was the first thing to pop in my mind.

I suppose Constable Donut could've chided me for crafting a character too similar to Baron Von Donut from Arsenic Lullaby. Of course, maybe he felt that I had received enough punishment already.
