I was pretty reluctant to go with a video game theme for this week's gag. Since you readers presumably have internet connections I'm sure that you're aware of all the video game humor out there. And, well, there are tons of webcomics that mine that vein. (Many exclusively)
Some of the stuff is pretty funny. Most of it is very mediocre though. And, there's quite a bit of it that is utterly horrific even if you're intimately familiar with the source material.
Regardless, we hardly need another goddamn webcomic about goddamn video games goddamnit.
Still, I thought that this gag was cute enough. And, I found that most gaming webcomics poke fun at Mario, Zelda, Megaman, Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokemon, and the like. Mortal Kombat has comparatively fewer spoofs out there.
So, I took a risk and went with an MK gag for this week. As long as it doesn't turn into a constant thing I think I can get away with it.
