Two miles out into the countryside outside of the city, one lone eyesore on the long stretch of quiet dirt road leading to points elsewhere, sat the ominous, almost medieval fortress like structure of the asylum for the criminally insane known as TIMBREDARK MANOR. Twenty foot concrete walls topped in barbed wire fencing enclosed the asylum. The entrance of the asylum walls had two levels of security. The outside level was a massive steel barred gate that raised to reveal the huge wooden bolt latched double security doors inside, that opened into the courtyard where burly, baton wielding security guards wearing steel box-frame wire-mesh covered protective head gear watched over the non-violent inmates who were exercised for an hour everyday, all under the watchful eye of armed security guards who strolled the catwalk along the tops of the asylum walls.
The almost roman catholic cathedral-like design of the main facility of TimbreDark Manor seemed as if it were built as a monument to the gloom and despair of those housed within. The only glass windows on the facility were on the front of the building where the administrative offices, infirmary, and commissary were to be found inside. And even they were covered over on the outside by heavy steel bars. Along the sides and back of the building were four rows of hollowed square cell windows, covered over by heavy steel bars, out of which no light emitted from in the daytime and only weak light from the facility escaped at night.
Inside the facility, much like hell, was an elaborate tier system of suffering. The main floor of the facility held the administrative offices, infirmary, operating rooms, and commissary. A cage "lift" sat off to one side and was used by the kitchen staff to deliver meals and by the nursing staff to cart the medicines of which the great majority of the inmates, violent or not, were given on a daily basis, all under the watchful eyes of more burly, baton wielding security guards wearing steel box-frame, wire mesh-covered protective head gear. On the other side of the main floor is a stairway leading up into the massive steel construction of the tier walkways that divided the upper levels of the facility into three squared levels of human suffering, anguish, and despair known as "violent", "extremely violent", and "unyieldingly violent" guests of the facility. The more dangerous of the facilities "guests" are medicated into near comatose compliance to counter their overtly aggressive tendencies. Most of TimbreDark Manor's "guests", like roaches, would check in–But never check out.
