Yay, I didn't miss a whole day… yet!

Oh, and tell me if I broke the 180 rule improperly with this page. I found out about it recently and saw in my script it would be broken here. I added a sort of side view panel to hopefully assist the transition from front to back on the assassins.

Tried a new color method for the armor. Played with my cross hatching more. And used a few more stock tones from MS.

I would have to say this must be the worst day of poor Sally's life =(

Sorry for a boring follow up to what appeared to be a very good page yesterday o_O *must follow script must follow script =P

dueeast: The only thing I can think of still keeping her conscious and NOT DEAD is that armor protecting her. It absorbs a lot of the blows. She still doesn't seem to be enjoying the situation much.

DAJB: I fail you X( I have no neat sound fx for this page.

Hero: Sally really REALLY needs to hurry up and show a useful power before … gulp… slice time

Doyora Steinbaum: WOW! That is very high praise. Thank you!

Hyptosis: You unoriginal… at least I know what a light box is >:)

kyupol: Thank you. Um… I say this a lot but… you have not seen anything yet!

mlai: O_O Wow thanks for all that. For pointing out the flaws and for saying such great things about the page! I didn't think I was doing anything very original personally. I just try to take the animations in my head and portray them to the best of my ability in comic form. I hope the later scenes I have layed out and choreographed as as pleasing.

This is the kind of stuff I really like playing with. I spend more time figuring out how things will work and look for the story than I do practicing my art. The only reason I care to try and improve in all areas you tell me about is because it will help convey a more enjoyable story if I have better art ^_^

"-Because you draw fast, your figures still have that rubbery element. But it doesn't hurt this page."

Yeah, I notice it, but some days I just have this "get it done" attitude. I hope over all this has become less prevalent. I hope to finally trickle this flaw of mine away over time. Didn't notice the ankles were so bad. I will look into more reference for this thank you.

"-Those yellow impact markers look like they're out of Super Mario Bros. Check out DBZ to see how Toriyama does impact markers."

HAHA! Noted. I downloaded all the DBZ comics. I had not cracked them open yet though since I didn't need reference for the fight scenes yet. I'll get to it!

"-For myself, I found I get better hand-drawn speed lines if I keep them in pencil. Because then I'm not afraid to be bold. And they come out clean and neat. But it doesn't hurt this page."

I will surely try this method on my next page that has speedlines. Thanks for yet ANOTHER tip!

"-This single page makes these 2 villains more awesome than all the aliens combined in this entire book."

Excellent. At the risk of potential spoiler these characters are more important in the long run. This issue ties in much more for after the Prologue. Sad to say, but the alien story is more of a plot driven after thought that I used to glue all the stuff I need to set up together. The alien story is much better however than when I made it up back in 9th grade =P

"Oh, and Sally magically reversed her position in the last 2 panels. :p"

HAH! I knew someone would catch that! :P
I saw Project Warrioress doing a funky flip thing to slam her down like that. I could not convey it well in the allotted space. There are certain scenes I thought would convey the flow a bit better in that page but decided to cut them for fear of the page being too cluttered.

I should have just went ahead and had Sally slammed on her chest as she should be but every time I pictured it the vision just made me laugh and I thought of Lilith/Morrigan's slam animation in DS. Luckily, as a DS fan, you should know what I mean by that. :p

I don't think I have anything that had this particular problem coming up in later action scenes.
